Replying to @Sancheezy The perfect El Yunque Rainforest self-guided itinerary. Family friendly too! Stop 1. Yokahu Tower, parking lot right in front. Portable bathrooms here. The smaller tower in the forest. Stop 2. Juan Diego Creek. Park along the side of the road. Limited parking. First fall is smaller and only a 5 min walk. Easy steps like a stair case. The second waterfall is maybe a 10 min walk up with similiar steps. The third taller water fall takes more climbing over roots and under tree trunks, about 15 minutes. I wouldn’t go this far this with my little ones because it wasn’t any more impressive than the second waterfall and not worth the risk. - turn around and drive back to the entrance of the park - Stop 3. La Coca Falls you can see on the side of the road. There is a parking lot here but it was closed when we arrived so we just pulled over to the side for a quick photo op. Stop 4. Angelito for a beautiful ten minute flat trail to a beautiful and relaxing swimming hole and river with rocks to climb. Great spot for families. I saw lots of kids. Bring snacks and drinks and hang out. Parking spots in front and on side of road. #puertorico #elyunque #itinerary #selfguidedtour

My favorite experience in Puerto Rico. Will return. Gate opens at 8am. We arrived at 8:30 am and had no issues with parking and minimal crowds. We bought towels at a small shop in El Yunque. The experience below can be done in 4 hours. 📍Yokahu Tower parking right in front. Viewing tower. Smaller tower on the trail. 📍Juan Diego falls with parking near trail on side of road. Three falls. First is 5 min walk. Second is ten minute easy hike. Third is a little more adventures climbing over roots and branches. Great for families- can decide how far you want to go. I would get to the second with my 3 and 6 year old and skip the third. Turn around and head back to the entrance for the next two stops. 📍Coca Falls has parking across the street but it was closed hence we got there for construction. We parked for five minutes along side of road. Quick photo op. 📍Angelitos Trail for swimming and jumping over rocks. Magical place. Great end to El Yunque My watershoes worked super well. No slipping and dried fast. We had great weather with no rain. #watershoes #puertorico #elyunque #travel #itineraryplanning
