This was 20 minutes before babe arrived! The hardest part in labor was breathing through the contractions and pain.. and just relaxing my body! Labor hurts! Pitocin contractions suck.. and it is so hard to just relax and breath through it all in the moment. Your body wants to tense up, and your breath wants to just stop and stand still. If you can see in the video my body was shaking uncomtrolably. This is an experience I would hands down do all over again though. The recovery time is so much easier without having had an epidural.. in my personal experience. I linked the delivery gown I wore in the cart too, because people keep asking about it. Midwife realized that my bladder was full.. which can keep babe from being able to move down. Emptied bladder.. felt like I couldn’t get up from the toilet to go back to the bed.. thought for sure he was going to plop out in the toilet. In this moment I looked them in the face and said “I can’t do this!” To which of course they replied.. that means I am almost there. I knew that, but in the moment all I could think about was how much pain I was in and how it felt like an eternity was passing. It was NOWHERE near an eternity. I was really only in active labor for 36ish minutes and pushed for less than 4 minutes.. really I let my body start pushing for me WHICH WAS MY DREAM! I would have loved to do without Pitocin, but the rest of my labor and birth was absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. #37weeker #inlabor #laboranddelivery #activelabor #noepidural #pitocincontractions
