From the jump this man has loved me anyway. I never disclosed my HS but he never made me feel less than, ever. When I was ready to talk about it he was ready to listen. As I embark my advocacy journey, I find myself healing parts of me I never thought I could. Accepting his help for my flare care was huge for me. It allowed my husband to look at my body in a non lustful way. It was THE act of service. And if I’m being honest it led to such a vulnerable moment for the both of us, the very first time. All this to say—I know we hide because we have comfort there. But, what if you allow your partner in? Let them see the beauty in your rawness. Because it is there ❤️
