I’m an adult but got this because I’m a lefty who never learned how to hold their pencil correctly. I’m one of those ones that does the fist death grip thing. Now that I’m getting older, that’s getting really hard on my joints and is just generally unpleasant. So there’s always time to learn how to do something right and better. I love this pencil. It is made for kids so it’s obviously sized and decorated more towards children. But it works fine for me, too. It’s thicker than a #2 pencil and about the size of a barrel of a rollerball pen. As an adult, it was easy to grip and I think would not be overwhelming for a child. What I really love and what addresses the key problem I have is a little yellow tab on the side that keeps you from crunching or overcrowding your fingers at the tip and puts them in correct form. I honestly don’t have a ton of need to use a pencil much nowadays, but I’ve started finding tasks to use it for so I could practice holding the pencil correctly with that tab. It works and my hand is starting to self correct more after using it regularly for about a month. Pencil is good quality.
